an oft not thought of is that collegiate games are not allowed to sell liquor/beer within the arena: thus tailgating.

here's the thing though, if you have access to luxury boxes to these games you get all the booze you could want, and snacks, and direct-line tv's (you instantly get the replay, please replay.) i question how many 'death valleys' there could be, but i realize that is just an earth problem.

before this specific game i spent time pre-drinking (i.e. chugging quickly so as not to expose whatever can i may be imbiding, hiding the hooch like houdini) in a pre-assigned rv lot. oh it was packed and we were there 4 hours before game-time and by far not the first.

as a lush, and not realizing my impending reign of free booze, this still was an experience. i'll just cut the jib and say it was awesome (you could leave the box, go to the railing, smoke a cig, soak it all in, come back and—wait, is that a waitress asking if you wanted another drink?); it was resplendent, but equally dissonant; it was a painting that has to be just that unique, you only experience it once.
